Martine Kimberley Sherrie Ponting was born in London on 14 May 1976 to Jenny Ponting and Thomas “Keith” Hemmings. Jenny faced domestic violence while with Keith, which continued even after they separated. Keith was arrested for attempting to harm Jenny and Martine, leading to his custody for six months.
