Senior BJP veteran and former deputy prime minister Lal Krishna Advani was released from AIIMS on Thursday after being hospitalized the night before, according to hospital authorities. A team of doctors, which included urology and geriatric medicine specialists, evaluated the 96-year-old. It was reported that he underwent a minor procedure while at the hospital.

According to an AIIMS official, Advani was hospitalized for age-related health problems and has since been discharged. Advani was admitted to the private ward of AIIMS at around 10.30 pm on Wednesday.
