Early life and High School Career

Hull was born on September 13, 1999, and raised in Liberty Lake, Washington, a suburb of Spokane. She spent her childhood playing hoops with her twin sister Lacie. Hull was coached by her father and his friend Ron Hawkins with the Lady Cubs Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) program from third to eighth grade. From 2014 to 2018, she participated in competitions for Central Valley High School in Spokane, Washington. Hull averaged 13.8 points and 6.3 rebounds per game while he was a freshman. She was voted the tournament’s most valuable player (MVP) after leading her team to the Class 4A state championship in her sophomore season, when she averaged 18.1 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. She was also named the Class 4A Player of the Year by the Associated Press (AP).

College career

Hull made her Stanford basketball debut on November 7, 2018, going 11 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 steals in a 71-43 victory over UC Davis. In the program’s history, she became the first freshman to record a double-double in their first game. On November 11, Hull’s next game, she defeated Idaho 115–71, scoring a season-high 17 points. With a rookie scoring and rebound average of 5.6 and 4.7 per game, Hull contributed to Stanford’s Pac-12 Tournament victory. Despite missing nine games due to a left foot ailment, she was named an honorable mention among the Pac-12 All-Freshman team. In her sophomore season, she was a full-time starter.
