Born in Los Angeles to John Woods, a television sound engineer, and Elizabeth Woods, a talent and brand manager, Jordyn grew up in Oak Park, California. She has two brothers, John Jr. and Joshua, and a sister named Jodie. During her childhood, she was one of only two Black girls at her school. After her parents divorced, Woods moved frequently and eventually opted for homeschooling when her family relocated to Calabasas, California, at the age of thirteen. Tragically, her father passed away from cancer when she was nineteen.
