Ishan Kishan was brought into the world on 18 July 1998 in Patna, Bihar. His dad, Pranav Kumar Pandey is a developer by calling in Patna. He has a place with the Bhumihar Brahmin station. He was the main run-scorer for Jharkhand in the 2017-18 Ranji Prize, with 484 runs in six matches and in the 2018-19 Vijay Hazare Prize, with 405 runs in nine matches. In October 2018, he was named in the India C crew for the 2018-19 Deodhar Prize, scoring hundred years in the competition’s final. In the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in 2018–19, he defeated Jammu and Kashmir in February 2019 with an unbeaten century.

In the following match, against Manipur, he scored 113 not out to keep consecutive hundreds of years in the competition. In August 2019, he was named in India Red’s crew for the 2019-20 Duleep Prize and in October in the India A crew for a similar contest. In February 2021, on the first day of the season of the 2020-21 Vijay Hazare Prize, Kishan scored 173 goes against Madhya Pradesh, some portion of a record score of 422.
