Harshal Patel, born on 23 November 1990, is an Indian cricketer who has represented the national team in Twenty20 internationals since his debut against New Zealand on 19 November 2021. He is a right-arm medium pace bowler and a right-handed batsman, having played for Gujarat, Haryana, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Delhi Daredevils in domestic and Indian Premier League matches. Patel showcased his skills with 23 wickets in the 2008-09 Under-19 Vinoo Mankad Trophy and made his one-day debut for Gujarat in 2009-10. Despite plans to relocate to the USA, his brother Tapan Patel ensured he stayed in India to pursue his cricket career. Harshal was selected for the 2010 U-19 World Cup in New Zealand and was one of three players from that team to secure an IPL contract with Mumbai Indians.
NEW DELHI: Punjab Kings (PBKS) successfully chased down 262 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens in the 42nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. While this win was remarkable, PBKS’ playoff chances may be slim due to having only won three out of nine matches, positioning them in eighth place out of the 10 teams.
