Fazalhaq Farooqi, born on 22nd September 2000, is a professional Afghan cricketer representing the national team across all formats. He debuted internationally for Afghanistan in March 2021 and plays for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL and Dhaka Dominators in the BPL. Fazalhaq’s first-class debut was with Amo Region in November 2017, followed by his List A debut in July 2018. He has also been part of Nangarhar’s squad in the Afghanistan Premier League and Afghanistan’s under-23 team for the 2018 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup. Fazalhaq made his Twenty20 debut in October 2019 for Boost Defenders in the 2019 Shpageeza Cricket League.

He was acquired by Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2022 IPL auction in February 2022 and signed with the Colombo Stars for the Lanka Premier League’s third edition in July 2022. However, his contract with the Sydney Thunder was terminated on 23 December 2022 due to a behavioral incident involving alleged harassment of female cricketing staff on 15 December 2022.
