England vs India 2025: Highlights
India took the lead in the match during the latter part of the second session. Kuldeep claimed five wickets, leading to England’s middle-order collapse. He first dismissed Jonny Bairstow and then got Ben Stokes. Joe Root was also bowled out by Ravindra Jadeja. Stokes and Root were out for ducks and all three players, including Bairstow, used up their reviews unsuccessfully. This resulted in England having no remaining reviews. The team lost all three wickets at a score of 175.
India gained momentum in the first session as Kuldeep dismissed Ollie Pope, leading England to finish at 100/2. Despite a strong start from India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah, the visitors managed to avoid losing any wickets in the initial hour. However, India’s efforts paid off when Kuldeep claimed the wicket of Ben Duckett, supported by a remarkable catch from Shubman Gill.
