Chameera was included on Colombo’s roster for the 2017–18 Super Four Provincial Tournament in March of 2018. He was also included in Colombo’s squad for the 2018 Super Provincial One Day Tournament the following month. Chameera was added to Galle’s team for the 2018 SLC T20 League in August of that year.
