Early life and education
In Begusarai, Bihar, on February 26, 1986, Jha was born. Her family traveled to Kolkata to live with her, and after ten years there, they moved to Kathmandu, Nepal. She finished her education at Laxman Public School in New Delhi once they relocated there. At Sri Venkateswara College in New Delhi, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in English. Meenakshi, her older sister, and Shashank, her younger brother, are her siblings. Jha made an appearance as a young performer in the 2001 song “O Piya” by Falguni Pathak.
Career
2007 saw Jha make her acting debut as Malini Sharma in the teen drama Dhoom Machaao Dhoom, produced by Disney India. She starred opposite Saurabh Pandey as Sunaina Kotak in Jiya Jale in 2008, and she was a contestant on the friend-based reality show Kaho Na Yaar Hai. In Shaurya Aur Suhani (2009), Jha portrayed Suhani, a regal princess, alongside Saurabh Pandey. In Jyoti, which aired from 2009 to 2010, Jha portrayed Sudha Sharma, a patient with dual personalities, opposite Alok Narula. This was her first significant role.
