Siddique Mamathu, born on October 1, 1962, and commonly known as Siddique, is an Indian actor and producer primarily active in Malayalam cinema. He has appeared in over 350 films across various languages, including Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. Renowned for his versatility, Siddique has portrayed a wide array of characters, ranging from comedic roles to romantic leads, anti-heroes, and villains. He made his acting debut in the film Aa Neram Alppa Dooram (1985) and gained prominence with the comedy In Harihar Nagar (1990).

The success of this film led him to take on numerous comedic roles in the early 1990s, featuring in movies such as Godfather, Manthrikacheppu, Simhavalan Menon, Kasargode Khadarbhai, Thiruthalvaadi, Mughamudra, Kunukkitta Kozhi, and Welcome to Kodaikanal. Siddique later transitioned to more serious roles in films like Asuravamsam and Lelam, and gained recognition for his notable villainous performance in Sathyameva Jayathe (2001), paving the way for similar roles thereafter. In 2004, he received the Kerala State Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performances in Sasneham Sumitra and Choonda. Siddique also ventured into film production, co-producing Nandanam (2002) under Bhavana Cinema, and in 2013, he was honored with the Nandi Special Jury Award for Naa Bangaaru Talli.

Siddique Personal Life
Siddique was born in Kochi to Mamathu of the Kolliyil house. His brother, Abdul Majeed, is also an actor in Malayalam cinema. Siddique’s son, Shaheen Siddique, is an actor primarily known for his work in Malayalam films. Tragically, his younger son, Rasheen, passed away in June 2024 due to a respiratory disorder.
