Shoaib Malik born February 1, 1982 is a Pakistani cricketer who has represented the national team and currently plays for Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). He served as the captain of the Pakistan national cricket team from 2007 to 2009, making his One-Day International debut in 1999 against the West Indies and his Test debut in 2001 against Bangladesh. Malik was married in 2002 to Ayesha Siddiqui, but their marriage ended in divorce on April 7, 2010. He was rumored to have dated Indian actress Sayali Bhagat, whom he met in 2008 while preparing for a potential Bollywood debut. However, they parted ways when he announced his engagement to Indian tennis star Sania Mirza.
