Rodney Michael Hood born October 20, 1992 is a retired American professional basketball player who most recently played for the Memphis Hustle in the NBA G League. He played college basketball for Mississippi State and Duke before declaring for the NBA Draft. Hood was selected by the Utah Jazz in 2014 and was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2018. In 2019, he was dealt to the Portland Trail Blazers, and later, in 2021, he was traded to the Toronto Raptors. He then signed with the Milwaukee Bucks for the 2021–2022 season.

Hood attended Meridian High School in Meridian, Mississippi. During his junior season in 2009–10, he averaged 22.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game, leading the Wildcats to the Class 6A finals. Meridian advanced through the Mississippi High School Activities Association’s tournament, only to lose to Starkville in the championship game, 57–51. As a senior, Hood posted impressive averages of 24.8 points, 8.6 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 3.1 steals, and 2 blocks per game, leading Meridian to a 29–2 record and a Class 6A championship. In the semifinals of that season, he scored 27 points in a win over Starkville, 72–43, and in the final against Vicksburg, he contributed 24 points to secure a 62–47 victory. Ranked as a five-star recruit by Rivals.com, Hood was the No. 5 small forward and the No. 16 player overall in the 2011 class. In October 2010, he committed to Mississippi State University. Interestingly, Hood grew up next door to Paramore lead singer Hayley Williams, although he did not discover this connection until March 2021.
