Early life
In Dhule, Maharashtra, on August 1, 1992, Mrunal Thakur was born into a Marathi-speaking family. She went to Vasant Vihar High School, which is located close to Mumbai, and St. Joseph’s Convent School in Jalgaon. Since Thakur was pursuing a profession in television at the time, she left KC College before receiving her degree.
Career
While enrolled in college, Thakur was cast in the Star Plus serial Mujhse Kuchh Kehti…Yeh Khamoshiyaan alongside Mohit Sehgal in the lead role of Gauri Bhosle. The program aired between 2012 and 2013. Afterwards in 2013, Thakur had an episode-long appearance on the mystery thriller Har Yug Mein Aayega Ek – Arjun, when she performed as Sakshi Anand, a journalist. Thakur was cast in February 2014 for the serial series Kumkum Bhagya on Zee TV. Where she started filming the following month. The show, which also starred Sriti Jha, Shabir Ahluwalia, Arjit Taneja.
