Despite this, he earned second-team District 24-4A honors after recording 25 receptions for 648 yards and seven touchdowns in his senior season.

In track & field, Evans excelled in the jumping events, achieving personal-best marks of 14.11 meters in the triple jump and 6.28 meters in the long jump. He also clocked a 4.54 in the 40-yard dash during a football camp and was part of the 4 × 100m and 4 × 200m relay teams.
