In basketball, Evans averaged 18.3 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 5.2 assists as a senior. He only played football during his senior year, which led to limited college recruitment. Despite this, he earned second-team District 24-4A honors after recording 25 receptions for 648 yards and seven touchdowns in his senior season.
In track & field, Evans excelled in the jumping events, achieving personal-best marks of 14.11 meters in the triple jump and 6.28 meters in the long jump.
