Mark Andrews born September 6, 1995 is an American professional football tight end for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Oklahoma and was selected by the Ravens in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Andrews has been named to the Pro Bowl three times and earned a spot on the 2021 All-Pro Team after setting the Ravens’ single-season records for receptions and receiving yards.

Andrews transitioned from wide receiver to tight end at Oklahoma. After redshirting in 2014, he played in all 13 games with one start in 2015, recording 19 receptions for 318 yards and seven touchdowns. In 2016, Andrews started 11 of 13 games, finishing with 31 receptions for 489 yards and seven touchdowns. He won the 2017 John Mackey Award, given to the nation’s top tight end. In early January 2018, Andrews announced he would forgo his senior year at Oklahoma and enter the 2018 NFL Draft. Over his three years at Oklahoma, he ranked sixth in career touchdown receptions (22) and recorded the most receiving yards (1,765) by a tight end in school history.

Mark Andrews Early Life
Andrews was born in Scottsdale, Arizona, to Paul and Martha Andrews. His father is a urologist, and his mother works in real estate. He has two brothers and a sister. At the age of nine, Andrews was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, but the condition has not hindered his athletic career. He attended Desert Mountain High School in Scottsdale, where he played wide receiver. During his high school career, he recorded 58 receptions for 1,058 yards and 10 touchdowns as a sophomore, 81 receptions for 1,494 yards and 21 touchdowns as a junior, and 68 receptions for 1,122 yards and 17 touchdowns as a senior. His high school quarterback was Kyle Allen. Andrews set the Arizona high school record for career receptions, a record later broken by Kade Warner, the son of Kurt Warner. Andrews ultimately committed to the University of Oklahoma to continue his football career.
