Julión Álvarez, born Julio César Álvarez Montelongo on April 11, 1983, is a prominent Mexican singer known for his expertise in regional Mexican music. However, in August 2017, the United States Department of the Treasury froze Álvarez’s U.S. assets, alleging violations of the Foreign Narcotics Kingpin Designation Act, which led to the cancellation of his U.S. tour.
