Jordan Anthony Poole born June 19, 1999 is a professional basketball player for the Washington Wizards in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He began his basketball journey at Rufus King High School in Milwaukee and later attended La Lumiere School in La Porte, Indiana. During his junior year, Poole earned first-team All-Wisconsin honors in 2016, and as a senior, he helped lead his team to victory in the 2017 Dick’s National High School Championship.

Poole went on to play college basketball for the Michigan Wolverines, where he was part of the 2017–18 team that won the Big Ten Tournament and reached the national championship game. Known by the nickname “Poole Party,” he was selected by the Golden State Warriors in the first round of the 2019 NBA Draft. After spending two seasons in the G-League, Poole became a key player for the Warriors starting in 2021. He led the NBA in free throw percentage during the 2021–22 season and helped the Warriors win an NBA championship that same year.

Poole’s basketball journey began at Rufus King High School in Milwaukee, where he made a memorable three-point shot to tie a game in the closing seconds during his freshman year, coming off the bench. As a highly regarded recruit, Poole received offers from several schools, including Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Drake, and Marquette. He first visited Michigan for a football game in September 2015, and after returning in October for a rivalry game against Michigan State, he received an offer. On October 23, 2015, Poole committed to Michigan, becoming the first player to join the Class of 2017. At the time of his commitment, he was ranked as the second-best overall prospect and the top shooting guard in the national class. In his junior year, Poole was named to the 2016 WBCA All-State Boys Basketball first team.
