John William Harbaugh born September 23, 1962 is an American football coach currently serving as the head coach of the Baltimore Ravens in the NFL. Prior to this, he coached defensive backs for the Philadelphia Eagles and spent nine years as the Eagles’ special teams coach. Harbaugh, along with his younger brother Jim Harbaugh (head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers), made history as the first pair of brothers to serve as NFL head coaches. Their father, Jack Harbaugh, had a long career as a college coach, spending 45 years as a defensive coach, assistant, and running backs coach. In Super Bowl XLVII on February 3, 2013, John Harbaugh led the Ravens to a 34–31 victory over Jim’s 49ers. Since becoming head coach of the Ravens in 2008, Harbaugh has achieved 173 wins (including playoffs), the third-most in the NFL during that period, and holds the record for the most wins in Ravens history.
