Charles Joseph Scarborough born April 9, 1963 is an American television host and former politician, best known as the co-host of Morning Joe on MSNBC alongside his wife, Mika Brzezinski, and Willie Geist. Prior to this, he hosted Scarborough Country on the same network.

Scarborough was born in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1963 to Mary Joanna and George Francis Scarborough, a businessman. The family relocated multiple times throughout his childhood, living in Meridian, Mississippi (1969), Elmira, New York (1973), and Pensacola, Florida (1978). He attended Pensacola Catholic High School and later earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Alabama in 1985. Scarborough went on to receive a Juris Doctor from the University of Florida College of Law in 1990. While in college, he was active in music, producing albums with his band, Dixon Mills, and also wrote a musical about televangelists titled The Gospel According to Esther, which received positive reviews and was later featured at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival.
