It can be ordered on Flipkart and will be released for sale at 6:30 AM on May 14. Google has introduced the Pixel 8a, an economical smartphone in the Pixel 8 line. Equipped with the Tensor G3 chip, it inherits certain artificial intelligence functionalities from the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, including Google Gemini and the gesture-based Circle to Search feature. Similar to the rest of the Pixel 8 series, the Pixel 8a guarantees seven years of software assistance, which includes security patches, Android OS enhancements and new features.

Pre-orders for the Pixel 8a are currently available on Flipkart in India, with sales set to start on May 14 at 6:30 am. Google, in partnership with Flipkart, offers bank discounts of up to Rs 4,000 and 12-month interest-free installment plans with certain bank cards. Additionally, customers can receive a bonus of up to Rs 9,000, on top of the trade-in value of specific smartphone models. As part of the pre-order package, customers can purchase the Pixel Buds A-series wireless earphones at a reduced price of Rs 999.

The Pixel 8a features a 6.1-inch fullHD OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, shielded by Gorilla Glass 3. It runs on the Google Tensor G3 chip and is available in storage options of 128GB (UFS 3.1) and 256GB (UFS 3.1), paired with 8GB of RAM (LPDDR5x). The rear camera setup consists of a 64MP main sensor with OIS and EIS, along with a 13MP ultra-wide-angle sensor offering a 120-degree FoV. For selfies, there is a 13MP front camera. Security features include an in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock using the front camera. The device is fueled by a 4492mAh battery and supports both wired and wireless (Qi) charging.
