Timme grew up in Richardson, Texas, a northern suburb of Dallas, and attended J.J. Pearce High School. During his junior year, he averaged 27.7 points, 17.9 rebounds, and 4.3 assists, earning District 8-6A MVP honors and second-team All-State recognition from USA Today.
