David Andrew Warner born October 27, 1986 is a former Australian international cricketer and a former vice-captain of the Test team. As a left-handed opening batsman, Warner made history as the first Australian player in 132 years to be selected for the national team in any format without prior experience in first-class cricket. He represented New South Wales and played for Sydney Thunder in domestic competitions. Warner was a key player in several successful Australian campaigns, including the 2015 Cricket World Cup, the 2021 T20 World Cup, where he was named Player of the Tournament, and the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup.
