Chahat Mani Pandey is an Indian television actress who has portrayed lead roles as Pakhi Parekh in Hamari Bahu Silk, Durga Aneja in Durga – Mata Ki Chhaya and Mahua/Krishna in Nath.
Chahat Pandey was born and raised in Chandi Chopra village, Damoh, Madhya Pradesh. Her mother is Bhavna Pandey. She completed her fifth grade education at Chandi Chopra. Her father died while she was little. She finished 10th grade at Adarsh School in Jabalpur Naka and 12th grade at JPB School, both in Damoh district. also had acting instruction in Indore from the Balaji Group. She relocated to Mumbai to further her acting career. In June 2020, Pandey and her mother were arrested and imprisoned for entering into her uncle’s residence, vandalizing it, and attacking him.
Pandey made her debut in the television serial opera Pavitra Bandhan in 2016, playing Mishti Roy Choudhary, the main character Girish’s younger daughter who returns after living in America. She has had recurring parts in the crime drama series Savdhaan India. Pandey played the primary role Radha in the 2017 teaser trailer for the soap opera RadhaKrishn, but Mallika Singh took her position later on. Pandey performed the lead character of Pakhi Parekh in the 2019 TV series Hamari Bahu Silk, in which she played a voice artist who dubs for an actress who appears in a number of sensuous films but has a raspy voice in person.
In 2020, she and the other actors on the show reported that they hadn’t gotten their payment dues and that her landlord had asked her to leave for failing to pay rent. • In June 2019, Chahat Pandey and her mother, Bhawna Pandey, were arrested by the Mumbai Police. Reportedly, Chahat, along with her mother and brothers, forcefully entered her maternal uncle’s house and destroyed his property.
• During the COVID-19 lockdown, Chahat Pandey was accused of mentally torturing the TV actress, Heer Chopra, when Chopra stayed at her house during the lockdown.
• In 2020, the TV actor Zaan Khan made a post on the social media in which he said that Chahat was on the ‘verge of committing suicide’ for non-payment of dues by the producers of the show and was stopped by her mother. The actress denied the same, and while explaining the incident, she said, “Actually, one day my mother was very angry and we were having a discussion in a group call about this issue. And she just said, ‘Agar meri beti ne kuch ulta seedha kar liya toh kaun zimedar hoga (Who would be responsible if my daughter took any drastic step?). I think that must have led to the confusion. But ab paani sar ke uppar se jaa chuka hai, sab ki haalat kharab hai. Main nahi chahti koi bhi aaisa galat kadam uthaaye (But water has now gone over the head.
