Calais Malik Campbell born September 1, 1986 is an American professional football defensive tackle for the Miami Dolphins in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Miami Hurricanes and was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft.

After redshirting his freshman year in 2004, Campbell became a starting player for the University of Miami in the 2005 season. In 11 games, he recorded 24 total tackles, 2.5 sacks, and three pass deflections. During the 2006 season, Campbell had a standout year, posting 55 total tackles, 10.5 sacks, four pass deflections, and three forced fumbles. He achieved at least three sacks in a single game on three separate occasions that season. In his final year with the Hurricanes in 2007, Campbell totaled 50 tackles, 6.5 sacks, three pass deflections, and one interception, which he recorded in the season opener against Marshall.

Campbell attended South High School in Denver, Colorado, where he played high school football. Recognized as one of the top defensive end prospects in the nation, he was ranked the 10th-best strongside defensive end by Rivals.com and the 7th-best by Scout.com. Over the course of his high school career, he set a state record with 57 sacks.
In addition to his football prowess, Campbell excelled in basketball, earning All-State honors as a junior. He averaged 22.7 points per game (ranked 4th in Colorado), 16.0 rebounds per game (leading the state), and 3.3 blocks per game. Campbell also participated in track and field, qualifying for the state meet in both discus and shot put in 2003. His personal bests in track events included a 21-foot long jump, a 48-foot shot put, a 135-foot discus throw, and a 44-foot 2-inch triple jump. Campbell ultimately chose to attend the University of Miami, turning down offers from schools such as Colorado State, Nebraska, Louisiana State, Michigan, Oklahoma, and San Diego State.
