Ameer Abdullah born June 13, 1993 is an American professional football running back and kickoff returner for the Las Vegas Raiders in the NFL. He was selected by the Detroit Lions in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft. Abdullah played college football for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, where he rushed for 1,690 yards in 2013, the fourth-highest single-season total in school history.

Ameer Abdullah Early Life
During his senior year of high school, Abdullah accumulated 1,800 rushing yards, 515 receiving yards, and returned four punts for touchdowns while playing for Homewood High School. He was named the 2010 South Region Player of the Year. In the 2010 Mississippi-Alabama All-Star Classic, he scored the winning touchdown in overtime.
Abdullah was also a talented track athlete at Homewood, recording a personal best of 11.15 seconds in the 100 meters at the 2011 AHSAA 6A Section 3 Championships, where he placed seventh in the preliminaries. Additionally, he competed in the long jump, achieving a career-best leap of 6.60 meters.
