Aly began his career in 2012 as a contestant on MTV Splitsvilla 5, a reality show. He made his acting debut in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein on Star Plus in 2013, playing Romi Bhalla until the show’s cancellation in December 2019. He began portraying Raj Kapoor, the main character, in Star Plus’s Kuch Toh Hai Tere Mere Darmiyaan in 2015, taking Vibhav Roy’s place[14]. The program aired until January 2016. He portrayed Kabir Raichand in the 2016 television series Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum on &TV. Later on, he appeared in Life OK’s Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant as Virat.
