Early Life
Chiasson began training in mixed martial arts at age 19 after recovering from a car accident that left her bedridden for three and a half weeks. Determined to regain the athleticism she had as a high school softball player, she initially took up Krav Maga. Drawn to its physical intensity and mental toughness, she began teaching Krav Maga after a year of training. However, since Krav Maga is not a competitive sport, she transitioned to MMA and started training at Mushin MMA and Mid City MMA. Shortly after, she began competing professionally.

Macy Chiasson began her professional MMA journey in 2017, quickly establishing herself with a 2–0 record while competing for organizations such as Invicta Fighting Championships and Cage Warrior Championship. In 2018, she took part in The Ultimate Fighter 28, a UFC reality competition series, vying for a UFC contract. In August 2017, it was announce that Chiasson would be one of the contestants on The Ultimate Fighter 28. She was select as the second featherweight pick by coach Kelvin Gastelum.
In the quarterfinals, Chiasson faced Larissa Pacheco and secured a first-round technical knockout victory.
