Ryan Seacrest Biography: Ryan John Seacrest born December 24, 1974 is an American television presenter and producer. Since September 2024, he has hosted Wheel of Fortune, succeeding long-time host Pat Sajak. Seacrest previously co-hosted and served as executive producer of Live with Kelly and Ryan, and he is well-known for hosting a variety of media programs, including American Idol, American Top 40, and On Air with Ryan Seacrest. He began co-hosting Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve in 2005 and took over as the sole host following Dick Clark’s death in 2012. Ryan Seacrest was born in Atlanta, Georgia, to Constance Marie (née Zullinger), a homemaker, and Gary Lee Seacrest, a real estate lawyer and former U.S. Army lieutenant. His grandfather, Henry Gene Skeen, held the rank of major general in the Army.
