Early life
The 5th of November, 1992, saw the birth of Shetty in Bombay (now Mumbai), to actors Suniel and Mana Shetty. Her mother is a Punjabi Hindu and her father is a Gujarati Muslim; her father is from the Tulu-speaking Bunt community. After making his feature debut in the movie Tadap (2021), her younger brother Ahan Shetty also went on to become an actor. In addition to attending the Cathedral and John Connon School, Shetty also attended the American School of Bombay. Alongside Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor, she took part in school plays during her stay. With the goal of becoming an actress, she moved to New York City to attend the New York Film Academy.
Career
Hero, a romantic action movie helmed by Nikhil Advani and based on the 1983 hit film of the same name co-produced by Subhash Ghai, marked Shetty’s screen debut in 2015. The film, which was co-written by Advani and Umesh Bist and produced by Salman Khan, brought in a total of ₹34.82 crore (US$4.2 million). She played Radha Mathur, an aspiring dancer from Mumbai who falls in love with her abductor Sooraj (Sooraj Pancholi), a mobster who is attempting to blackmail her father, IG Shrikant Mathur, the chief of police.
