Tramell Tillman Biography
When asked about his experience as a celebrity, Tramell Tillman (’14) humbly says he doesn’t quite feel like one. However, after his standout role in the critically acclaimed Apple TV series Severance and making an appearance on the red carpet at the Emmy Awards, it’s clear that Tillman’s time in the spotlight has arrived—and it’s only just beginning. At the Emmy Awards, Tillman was excited to see icons like Oprah Winfrey, but he was taken aback when other celebrities expressed nervousness about approaching him. They feared he might be like his Severance character, Seth Milchick—a seemingly enthusiastic, yet rigid, company man who supervises employees at Lumon Industries. In Severance, employees undergo a brain implant procedure that separates their work memories from their personal ones, and the series dives into the consequences of workers in one department uncovering the truth about their jobs and the company.
