Rauw grew up in a musically inclined family—his father, Raúl Ocasio, is a guitarist, and his mother, María Nelly Ruiz, is a backing vocalist. They introduced him to artists who would shape his musical taste, such as Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, and Rihanna. His father, originally from Brooklyn, New York, later returned to Puerto Rico, and Rauw also spent significant time in Miami and New York, where he absorbed R&B and dancehall influences. Controversies On Stage Incident with Bad Gyal
In December 2023, during a concert in Puerto Rico, Rauw invited Spanish singer Bad Gyal to perform the collaboration song “Zorra Remix.” During that performance, Rauw tried to dance closely with Bad Gyal which she ignored, this led to an awkward moment on stage. Later, Rauw claimed that the moment happened because of Bad Gyal was shy on stage whereas Bad Gyal ignored the controversy and commented only about her performance on social media.
