Apple is set to launch the iPhone 17 Air, the slimmest iPhone ever, with a thickness ranging from 5.5mm to 6.25mm. Featuring a 6.6-inch display, it strikes a balance between the Pro and Pro Max models in size.
The iPhone 17 series may showcase a new camera design. The iPhone 17 Air could feature a vertical single-lens module, while the Pro models might sport a horizontal camera bar made of aluminum, replacing the classic square setup.
Every iPhone 17 model could include a 120Hz ProMotion LTPO OLED display, offering smoother visuals and Always-On Display features, a first for non-Pro models.
All iPhone 17 models might come with a 48MP rear sensor, while the Pro Max gets a 48MP telephoto lens. A new 24MP front camera with a six-element lens will improve selfies and video calls across the lineup.
The iPhone 17 Air may feature Apple’s own 5G modem, supporting speeds up to 4Gbps. All models are expected to support Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3 for improved wireless performance.
The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max may replace titanium with aluminum frames and feature a part-glass, part-metal back, marking a return to aluminum for high-end models since the iPhone X.
The iPhone 17 series will run on the A19 chip for standard models and the A19 Pro for the Pro variants, offering faster processing, better AI capabilities, and up to 12GB of RAM for enhanced multitasking.
The iPhone 17 lineup may feature scratch-resistant, anti-reflective displays for improved durability and visibility. Apple is also enhancing battery repairability with new adhesive technology across all models.
