Royal Enfield has introduced the Guerrilla 450, priced at Rs 2.39 lakh (ex-showroom). This model marks the company’s debut in the sub-500cc segment. The design of the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 boasts a modern-retro style, featuring a round LED headlight, an 11-litre teardrop-shaped fuel tank, and a sleek tail section. The bike is equipped with a single-piece seat and a well-integrated tubular grab handle for the pillion rider. Available in various bold colors, such as Brava Blue, Yellow Ribbon, Gold Dip, Playa Black, and Smoke, the Guerrilla 450 is offered in different variants – Flash, Dash, and Analogue. Its power comes from a 452cc single-cylinder engine, delivering 39.50bhp at 8,000rpm and 40Nm at 5,500rpm, mated to a six-speed gearbox.

Transitioning to the hardware aspect, the Guerrilla 450 features a steel tubular frame utilizing the engine as a structural component. Supported by a 43mm telescopic fork with 140mm travel and a preload adjustable monoshock with 150mm wheel travel, the frame accommodates 17-inch wheels with a 120-section tyre in the front and a wide 160-section tyre in the rear, both Ceat Gripp XL tyres. With a lengthy wheelbase of 1440mm and a ground clearance of 169mm, the bike weighs 185kg, heavier than competitors like the Triumph Speed 400. The Analogue variant is priced at Rs 2.39 lakh, while the mid-spec Dash variant costs Rs 2.49 lakh, and the Flash variant is priced at Rs 2.54 lakh, all ex-showroom. The base variant, on the other hand, has a analouge-digital instrument cluster with an optional Tripper navigation pod.
Engine and specifications
The latest Guerrilla 450 is equipped with the 452 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder Sherpa engine, delivering 39.4 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 40 Nm at 5,500 rpm. Royal Enfield has adjusted the engine for improved low-end torque, stating that over 85% of the torque is accessible from 3000 rpm onwards. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox featuring an assist and slip clutch mechanism.

The Guerrilla comes in three versions: Analogue, Dash, and Flash. The basic version features a basic digital analogue instrument panel with the option of a Tripper Pod for navigation. The highest model includes a 4-inch circular TFT screen that connects to Google Maps. Through Bluetooth Connectivity, users can link their mobile phones to the console to listen to music, receive message notifications, and more.

The entry-level Analogue model Guerrilla 450 is priced at Rs 2.39 lakh in ex-showroom Chennai, offering two color choices: Smoke Silver and Playa Black. The mid-level Dash, available in Playa Black and Gold Dip, costs Rs 2.49 lakh ex-showroom Chennai. The top-tier Flash model is priced at Rs 2.54 lakh ex-showroom Chennai and comes in Yellow Ribbon and Brava Blue color options.

Royal Enfield describes the Guerrilla as a versatile motorcycle suitable for navigating slow stop-start traffic, taking on twisty roads, or cruising on the highway. The Guerrilla shares a steel twin spar tubular frame with the Himalayan 450 but has a shorter wheelbase of 1,440 mm. Additionally, it is 70 mm shorter in length at 2,090 mm, 33 mm narrower at 833 mm, and stands at a height of 1,125 mm. As a roadster, the new Royal Enfield features a seat height of 780 mm.
The Guerrilla comes with a stylish 11-liter fuel tank, a retro round headlight with LED technology, a single-seat design, and an LED tail light that includes integrated indicators. Weighing 185 kg, the Guerrilla 450 features 43 mm telescopic front forks with 140 mm travel and a rear monoshock with 150mm travel. It is equipped with a 310 mm front ventilated disc brake and a 270 mm rear disc brake with dual-channel ABS for effective braking.
