India General Elections 2025: In India general elections are scheduled to take place from 19 April to 1 June 2025 over seven phases to choose all 543 members of the Lok Sabha. The outcome will be announced on 4 June 2025 after vote counting. This election is the largest ever recorded, lasting 44 days, coming second only to the 1951-52 Indian general election. The current Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, seeking a third term in succession, has completed two terms. About 970 million individuals out of a total of 1.4 billion are eligible to vote, representing 70% of the entire population. Concurrently, the legislative assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha, and Sikkim, as well as by-elections for 25 constituencies in 12 legislative assemblies, will be held.

Voting for the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2025 is taking place in 58 constituencies across six states and two union territories, which includes all seven seats in Delhi, on Saturday, May 25. The voting for phase 6 of the Lok Sabha polls will also occur in the Jangal Mahal region in West Bengal. Polling commenced at 7am and will end at 6pm. 428 parliamentary constituencies across 25 states and UTs have already completed polling in the initial five phases of the 2025 general elections.
Simultaneously, polling will be held for 42 assembly constituencies in Odisha.
