After surprising fans with his appearance in the movie Chandu Champion, actor Kartik Aaryan unveiled the trailer of his challenging project in Gwalior. The Captain Roop Singh Cricket stadium was full of fans eagerly waiting for Kartik. They cheered and celebrated his arrival with enthusiasm.

Directed by Kabir Khan, the movie will feature Kartik as a boxer, wrestler, and soldier. It’s about Murlikant Petkar, India’s first Paralympic gold medalist. The trailer showcases Kartik’s different life phases. He transformed physically for the role. Chandu Champion is about a man aspiring to be a champion. He joins the Army to prepare for the Olympics and thus begins his journey.

Kartik launched the film’s trailer shortly after the tragic death of his relatives in a hoarding collapse in Mumbai’s Ghatkopar area. Despite the recent personal loss, he attended the funeral and joined Kabir and producer Sajid Nadiadwalala for the trailer launch event. When asked about his feelings on being in his hometown, Kartik expressed that it was a special moment for him as he had always dreamt of becoming an actor there and presenting his most challenging film.

“How do I feel mentally? There’s a lot happening in my life but I must continue. I’m grateful that all of you could join us for the film’s trailer launch,” he expressed to the cheering crowd. Following the success of the 2021 film ’83’ starring Ranveer Singh, which depicts India’s victory at the 1983 World Cup in England, Kabir introduced ‘Chandu Champion.’ This upcoming film is also inspired by a true story, focusing on the journey of Murlikant Petkar, India’s first Paralympic gold medalist who achieved success in the 1972 Summer Paralympics in Germany. Kabir shared a film poster and praised Kartik’s inspiring journey to become a champion. Kartik, initially overweight, transformed his body without steroids as Kabir watched proudly on set.
